How do I play?
Read a dossier. Tap words with a dotted red underline to file them in your Excerpt Book. Where a word is lost under an ink stain, tap the stain and restore it with the right excerpt — the answer is always somewhere else in the archive or in the Chronicle.
I'm stuck
Get one answer wrong and the Old Archivist gives you a hint. Get two wrong and a button takes you straight to where the clue is. Your Excerpt Book (top right on the Investigate tab) lists every open clue with its hint.
How do I change the language?
The app follows your iPhone's language. To use a different language for this app only: Settings → Spectre Files → Language.
How do I start over?
Me → Restart Investigation. Your member card and bookmarks are kept.
How do I turn off sounds?
Me → Sound Effects. The app's sounds also follow the silent switch.
Restoring purchases
If you became a Supporting Member on another device, open Me → Support the Society and tap Restore Purchases.

阅读卷宗，点击带红色虚线的词，把它收进摘录本。被墨迹盖住的字，点一下墨迹，用对的摘录把它复原——答案总在档案室的别处或年表里。
卡住了怎么办？
答错一次，老档案员会给提示；答错两次，会出现直达线索所在处的按钮。「调查」页右上角的摘录本里，列着所有待复原的线索和提示。
怎么切换语言？
App 跟随 iPhone 的系统语言。只想让这个 App 用别的语言：设置 → 幽灵档案 → 语言。
怎么重新开始？
我的 → 重新开始调查。会员证和收藏会保留。
怎么关闭音效？
我的 → 音效。App 的声音也跟随静音键。
恢复购买
在另一台设备上成为过赞助会员：打开「我的 → 支持同好会」，点「恢复购买」。
